Career to date: After training and qualifying as a chartered accountant with Peat Marwick Mitchell, joined Laing & Cruickshank in 1983 as an investment analyst in UK financial shares. In 1990 moved to BZW, again as an investment analyst in UK financial shares. Joined Jupiter Asset in 1997 as a Director and a member of the Specialist UK Equity team, specialising in the financial sector.
