DOUGLAS SPERRY MAKEPEACE

Mr. Makepeace is the president and owner of Sperry Fund Management Corporation in New York City. His firm advises two offshore funds of funds. Sperry Persistence Fund was organized in 1989, and allocates capital to futures managers with excellent long-term records. Sperry Complete Manager Fund was organized in 1993, and allocates capital to more than thirty hedge fund managers. Their combined net assets are about $150 million.

In 1991, Mr. Makepeace found a U.S. manager with an outstanding record but with no offshore fund. Mr. Makepeace organized a fund, and brought the manager to other funds of funds and professional investors. Prominent allocators to hedge funds were the first to hire this manager. Mr. Makepeace has continued to introduce a few managers to selected investors. Net assets currently invested with these managers are also about $150 million.
